We are back!

As time drifts on, we are aware we have not been able to update you with lots of news from the Exchange. It has been such a strange time for us all. We are incredibly excited to be bacl albeit in a quiet, measured start.

We have been overwhelmed by your generosity in our fundraising campaign and want to say a very big thank you. It is making a big difference to us.

We are a large space with different areas and in opening the building again we will have your safety at the forefront of what we are doing. A lot is still unknown about the virus so we will take every precaution we can to make you feel safe. Our risk assessment will be available to see in the building and on our website.

Community groups are now returning for meetings and classes, including Zumba, Pilates, Sturminster Dance School, Chair Exercises, Sturminster Newton Learning Centre (by appointment only) and the U3A.  We also hope we can open a community café one or two mornings a week at some point so that people can meet again and enjoy a tea or coffee. It will be so good to be able to socialise more.

The Shows are rather more complicated. We are having to postpone events as we cannot safely manage larger groups of people and the government legislation is not allowing large gatherings for now. However, we are putting on a socially-distanced story telling event on 16th October (seeWhat’s On on this website). Tickets must be pre booked, we cannot accept walk-ins.

We wish you all well and are very much looking forward to seeing you again soon.

For any urgent queries please email us at [email protected]
Wherever possible events will be re-scheduled for future dates. Our website and social media pages will be updated and we will issue local press releases.

As a registered charity, with no on-going grants, income from ticket sales is vital to The Exchange.  If your booking is cancelled and you are in a position to do so, we ask you to accept a voucher for future use or donating the value of your ticket to The Exchange, rather than a refund.  If you can do this, your kindness will help support us through these difficult times.
